New York State and Local Employees Retirement System

Would someone please confirm my thoughts that my New York State and Local Employees Retirement System is NON-TAXABLE to North Carolina, where I currently reside?

Is it considered under the BAILEY ACT?

Thanks very much!

If youre really using a version of ProSeries, you should be able to hit the yellow ? button when youre on that drop down exclusion menu and see which types qualify or not.  It gives you a whole list of state and federal payers that qualify.

Hi Lisa,

I'm not sure why you're asking if I'm really using ProSeries? I thought this was ONLY for ProSeries customers. Regardless, my question has nothing to do with the drop-down box but knowledge of the Bailey Act here in NC. It's really upsetting that the users on this platform like to make judgements and not really help, why bother answering. My question was very clear, and it wasn't about the software BUT the knowledge of NC.

Thank you for taking the time BUT your answer does NOT help.

"I thought this was ONLY for ProSeries customers."

It's supposed to be but Intuit lets anyone in.

Have you read the NC instructions? Last time I looked they explain this well.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
