On the 2024 Mo A, public pension Part A, line 5 from Section A is not flowing to Section D, total exemption.
I just noticed that this afternoon as well. Guess I’ll try to give ProSeries a call to see what’s going on.
Did you reach out to support already? If not, please send me a direct message so I can gather some information to get some help. Thank you!
On the Missouri Form MO-A, Page 3, Part 3, Section D is suppose to total the amounts from Section A Line 5, Section B Line 9 and Section C Line 4 to arrive at the Total Pension and Social Security exemption which is reported on MO-1040, Line 8. The software is not picking up the amount on MO-A, Part 3, Section A, line 5 to add to this total. Missouri had a change in tax law for 2024 regarding Social Security and Pension Exemption amounts.
HAS ANYONE CONTACTED PROSERIES? OR DO THEY SEE THESE MESSAGES?
Why all of the shouting? I heard you all the way from Missouri to Minnesota.
Yes they did see it. Ruben is an Intuit employee but since he wasn't given more information until today, you probably won't hear from him until next week. You can always call support today to see if they have more information for you.

Update. After a 52 minute phone conversation with support, I was told that the software is doing what it's supposed to be doing (even though it's not). The rep said there was no one else to talk to, and this problem could not be escalated. I sent a sanitized copy of the file for her to look at, but she didn't see the problem. The problem remains that on the MO-A, Part 3, the software is not adding Section A line 5 with Section B line 8 with Section C line 4 to come up with the total for Section D (total Pension and Social Security Exemption amount. Seems pretty simple to see that it's not adding these together, but what do I know?
On the pension exemption problem for Mo A not carrying to the totals. I tried an override since the calculation correct. Was rejected by Pro Series, " there was an issue with MO-A will require a product update.
This issue will be resolved in a product release scheduled for Feb 6, 2024
