It doesn't happen all the time, but there are times when I print both the client and preparer copies of a 1040, where one of the copies will not print. The program shows that both were processed, but both don't print. It only seems to happen with 1040s, and I don't have issues with my printer with other software or printing jobs.
I provide my clients with a "file copy". I never give them client copies because this is not required by the IRS.
