Maybe, maybe not. What do you have going on?
It depends on "what" was inherited, and where it came from.
Someone else thought NOT and now I get to amend a return they filed themselves.
it depends - we all know that is too vague a question - what did they inherit? cash in the bank or an IRA?

For any opinion that was to my favor, I'd ride on the opiner's E&O insurance.
