I filed an Illinois Individual return on April 12th around 5 p.m. The federal was accepted within a short time, but as of now, more than 24 hours later, the Illinois status is still "sent to state". I am in Illinois and the returns are usually accepted within 4 or 5 hours (or less) after the federal. I have since e-filed 3 Ohio returns, all of which have been accepted both federally and by Ohio. I am not sure what to do and if this is an Illinois issue, ProSeries issue or something with the return. Has anyone else encountered this?

I'm in California and just came here to find out why the state returns are taking way more than 24 hours to be accepted. What's up?

I guess so but why would this year be any different than a normal year?
Never had this before.

For some reason I dont understand Ilinois always seems to take longer to accept thatn other states.
