In previous years, Intuit did not charge my credit card until product was available - usually November.
This year they charged my credit card as soon as I renewed.
Is this a new policy?

If you were set for automatic renewal it would charge you in November.
If you went ahead and renewed yourself today I assume then it would go ahead and charge you but you may call and ask support
