Form 8915-F

I have used the 2021 8915-E Disaster Distribution worksheet to calculate the 8915-F form for the amount of the distribution taxable in 2021 from the 2020 covid distribution spread over 3 years. The calculated amount on the 8915-F appears to replace the amount of the regular 2021 non covid distribution amount on the 1040.

Youre filling it out wrong then, I did the same thing. Youre entering the amount as a 2021 distribution, instead of 2020.

Go to the 8915E and check the 2020 Covid box near the top, then drop down to Lines 12 (non IRA) or 26 (IRA) and put in the 1/3 amount, that will transfer it to the 8915F and the correct line of the 1040.
