Filing Status Error

I mistakingly filed my clients return with filing status MFJ rather than MFS as they requested. Is there a way I can file a superseded return for both since it is before the due date of the returns. Or do I have to file amended returns for each? I am with the understanding that I cannot amend filing status from MFJ to MFS after return is filed, so I am trying to fix this before the deadline. Any ideas?

You can change up to the filing date, but after that you can not change a MFJ to any other filing status

Thank you sir. With that understanding, is there any way in ProSeries Professional to file electronically a superseded return for each spouse, married filing separately or will it have to be paper filed prior to the due date of returns?

Yes, just type " superseded return" in "ask ProSeries or search help" from home page for instructions
