So am I right that if we buy say 50 esignatures, they are only good to use with the 2025 tax program?  They are good until 2028, but only to use them with the 2025 program?   And that they do NOT roll over. 

Did this change, because I remember buying some last year and it seems that they rolled over. 

Talk about a scumbag policy.  Its not bad enough that I am still waiting on forms to be final but any esigs I buy can only be used for TY 2025??  How dumb is that.  Why would any small to midsize provider buy more than a few at a time.

I've been with ProSeries for 5 years, and this has always been the protocol that I've known.  It would be nice to be able to purchase less than fifty when needed, but they have always been just for the year they were purchased for.

I am sure you are correct, I just know I didnt buy any this year and started with 8.  I rarely buy them, but when I do, its usually in the middle of tax season and I always seem to open the year with some.  I am guessing they give you a few (I feel like I remember that) but 8 seemed high. 

Either way, there is no reason for me to buy 50 if I will lose them.  So dumb.  Trashy tactics from a program that already costs thousands and thousands of dollars....

ALWAYS amazes me that preparers are willing to go through the extra work and pay extra money so their clients can sign the fraud statement on the 8879s electronically … if my clients can’t find a way to sign and return an 8879 (along with their fee) I’d prefer they go somewhere else….  Haven’t lost any yet

Not sure how its extra work.  Its definitely less work for me.  I click a button and its sent.  

And personally, no, I would rather pay the $3 to make the $1000 client's life easier, rather than have them go somewhere else.  Thats just me.
