I keep updating the program, but it still won't let me efile 2018

Go to where you normally 'update', then down to "refresh" updates.
If @Just-Lisa-Now- wanders by, she can give you the screen shot of exactly where this is (I use Lacerte...)

You don't need a screenshot. Once you click on updates, it is the last item in the list that pops up.
