    efile amended return validation step

    I'm trying to efile a 1040X for 2023 but receive error message "not transmitted; amended return failed the tax submission amended return validation step"

     

    What do I need to do?

    Efiling wont be open until Jan 27th.

    I knew that for 2024 returns.  I didn't know it applied to 2023 Amended

    The MeF system is closed, doesnt matter the year.
