Yes, but exterior doors must be ENERGY STAR certified to qualify for this tax credit.

@IRonMaN   good question.   My client purchased the home in 2023.  Did some remodeling and I think (have to ask yet) an addition to the home.  I'm not sure the garage was there or new construction.  This information came to me in six emails. No phone conversations.  Aggravating.

I have really learned to hate energy credits this year.  They have become a boat anchor for getting returns out the door.

I don't know the specifics, but unless the garage is heated or attached to a heated building, how much energy is someone going to save?
