Taxpayer relocated from California to Maryland June 2021 while still operating CA LLC. The LLC was dissolved March 18, 2022. Is Taxpayer obligated to pay the LLC tax fee of $800 for 2022 tax year when no income was generated? Also, should I attach the letter of dissolution from the secretary of state to the tax return or is there a specific form to complete other than marking final return on form 568?

I think if you got it dissolved prior to the due date you can avoid the current year 800 fee, assuming they had zero income for that current year.....at least thats how I remember it from 7-8 years ago when I had someone dissolve 2 unused LLCs.

Thank you for your answer. I thought as much.
