Preparing a partnership return for a new Colorado business. The tax return is requiring a Colorado 8 Digit Account Number on the Information Worksheet and Pass-Through Entity Return. The owner is unaware of any such account number. They have no state withholding or sales tax. ProSeries Help Center says if its the first year filing in Colorado, enter "Applied For" and the state will issue a number for subsequent filings. However, an error message still shows... Anyone know of a work around here?
Thank you!

they may want to call their Secretary of State or whomever is supposed to issue this number and see if they can get the letter re-sent, given over the phone, or accessed online.
If they never applied for a number, there wouldn't be anything to re-send.
CA did this for partnerships a couple years ago, they sent out these new numbers to everyone automatically.
Iron Man is exactly right. Just mail it like was done for many years. Like the song said "it was good for our fathers then it's good enough for me". Or whatever it said.
What did you end up doing? In the same predicament now. A TX partnership that has to file a NR CO return but doesn't have the 8 digit account number and ProSeries does not allow "Applied For" as they suggest.
