attaching a supporting statement to form 1116 line 3b

I'll give it a shot.. if you are trying to attach a pdf to the return for form 1116:

  • Make sure you have the return to be efiled
  • Go to EF Homebase
  • Highlight the row labeled "Federal Return" under REturn Type
  • On tool bar on top of your window, click on paper picture of paper clip
  • Add attachment
  • Navigate to that attachment (the pdf) on your computer
  • Double click on that pdf
  • Under Type columnm, click on drop down, choose Other
  • Type in a description in that column
  • Click OK
