Allocating estimated tax payments for MFS

I am working on a MFS return and have been able to correctly mark interest, dividends, etc. as Taxpayer or Spouse.  I don't see a way to indicate that the estimated tax payments made are attributed to the taxpayer and not the spouse. Am I missing a box somewhere?  If I split the MFJ return can I go in to the split returns and adjust the numbers?  First year ProSeries user so no experience with this.

On the tax payments worksheet each entered quarterly payment has the ability to mark as J, T, or S.  But in any case, you can load the numbers manually where you want after you do the split.

I don't see where to mark the TSJ?  It was clear on the other inputs but I see nothing on the estimated tax payments screen.

If you are looking at the "tax payments" worksheet, the marks should show up in the boxes for each quarterly payment made.  Based on your post, are you looking at the wrong worksheet?

I'm not in the worksheet for 2025 estimates.  I am trying to enter the estimated payments made for 2024 in the 2024 estimated payments sheet to be applied to the current return.

But the carryover worksheet that flows into the tax payments worksheet has the taxpayer indicators on them.  Follow the magnifying glass on the amount applied box to find the worksheet.

Duh!  I feel like an idiot.  Now that I found it I don't know how I didn't see it before.😁  Thanks for your continued responses.  You are very kind.

Prepare your clients to receive IRS notices. IRS usually credits the estimates to the first name and SSN on the payment voucher even when a joint voucher is used.
