Alabama Form 2210AL

RollTide68
Level 8

Anyone know when or why the underpayment penalty has stopped working.  The Form 2210AL is not calculating anything for the underpayment penalty.  I know ALDOR changed the form.  I guess Intuit did not want to take the time to program the form?

The "yes you owe a penalty" check box is marked but no calculations are made in part III to figure the underpayment using the regular method.

Anybody have a work around?  Last month I could at least figure the penalty and override it to force the penalty on the form 40.  Now nothing.

Have you checked any of the boxes on the 2210, part 2, box A-E?  That is the easy answer.

This could be due to unusual scenario in a specific return.  If that is the case, you might better off working with our support staff over the phone to get the answer.  Please contact ProSeries Support 800-434-6818.
