Kinda tough to help folks if the system keeps shorting out and telling you Access Denied while trying to post. This has been going on for awhile but it is extra frustrating this morning.
Some folks complained about this earlier ( late Jan?). I didn't pay any attention until two days ago when it started happening to ME.
Seems very random.
There was a bit of spam this a.m. that was removed very quickly. Possibly related? Or not <w>.
I hadn't seen any complaints so I figured it was just me. I feel like it's been happening for at least a month.
Most of the time I just have this in the top right corner
but I can read and post just fine. Other times I get the permission denied and can't read (or post) anything. When that happens, about 90% of the time I can pull it up on my phone (not logged in) and read messages. Once in a while the site is just completely dead. <shrug>
I figured it was the classic Intuit model of "you're not paying us enough money to have access to this feature."
Rick
you're not paying us enough money to have access to this feature."
Rick.... not to mention that is bass-ackwards anyway 🙂
THEY should be paying US for all the money they save by not having 'real' support.
I had it happen last week too, it only happened after I tried to tag someone, the wheel would just spin and spin and then boom access denied, no clue what the issue was/is.
Yeah, I tried posting several times in an hour or 2 span this morning and either couldn’t get in or started to type and “bang” dead in the water. When I finally got in, I started this string.
Maybe Intuit is trying to tell you something. Or this is their new discipline system. They give you a time-out without actually telling you that you are getting a time-out.
You guys are lucky. It has been happening to me for well over a year (maybe two).
I load the main forum page. Wait 20 minutes or so. Then open posts in a new window. Don't close the original window or it may start denying again.
I have found that it usually happens when you try to use the @ function to refer to another user, especially one who hasn't commented on the current thread. So don't do that anymore.
In Arizona, the state version of Medicaid is called AHCCCS (pronounced "access") and when that gets denied, it can mean stay at home and die rather than go to the hospital and live.
I've had the issue at least as long as Bill noted, because we commented on it way back. I thought it might go away when I got a new computer, but it still happens. If I refresh the topics list, I need to go away for about an hour, before I can do anything here.
Thinking back I have had some issues that Bob referred to but I haven't had the major league issues that existed when I originally posted this.
