I am looking to update my computer. What are some high-end specs that I should be looking for in a computer to run Proseries as fast and efficiently as it is designed for?
FWIW I bought a new system with double the recommended everything and it still lags and has performance issues when other programs are running at the same time.
Ive got 32M (4x the recommended), still get the stupid hang screen message that the system is busy blah blah blah
I'm running windows 11 pro with 32GB Ram memory, an intel 17-14700 processor, my computer was running a little slow, I updated the BIOS from the manufacturers web site and it is like a completely different machine....very very fast. I am surprised that it is fast to boot up from a cold start than to wake the machine from sleep.
@Just-Lisa-Now- It has double the recommended processor speed of 2.0 GHz? I think that's more important than how much RAM is available.
I'm doing half as many returns as I was 10 years ago, so that might be the reason that I haven't found that the program slows down, the more returns are in HomeBase.
I'm doing fine with a 5G (wireless) connection from AT&T. The $100 I save every month since cutting the cable, goes into my travel budget.
