2021 Efile Issue - date of return cannot be after 12/31/22 so rejects

I am having trouble efiling any 2021 Proseries Basic federal return - it requires the date in the information worksheet to be from 2023 (since we are in 2023) to successfully efile; HOWEVER, the Proseries software won't let you go past 12/31/2022 (error appears).  Anyone else having this issue?

Yes I am and I have clients who need 2021 filed for college financial aid. Any fixes?

Scroll through the list of messages, its been asked and a workaround given at last a dozen times now.

I figured it out click the update tab the click refresh update. This update seemed to fix the problem.

Issues filing electric 2021 with date,  I e-file tax return 2020 with the date 2/04/23 and it went through, and 2021 doesn't let me because it's supposely has to have 12/31/21

Use the current date but shut off error checking when you convert the file for e-filing

Have you updated the 2021 software?  I thought they fixed that glitch a few weeks ago.

Or update your program. This has been fixed.  I've efiled 2021 returns with current dates just this week without a problem.
