Any updates on how to accurately enter 2019 PYIE for new clients?

I think the error only happens if you manually enter the 2019 amount.  I think if you transfer the file from last year, it works correctly.

If that is the case, you need to either (a) wait until Intuit fixes it, (b) prepare the 2019 and transfer it to 2020, or (c) print the return, use white-out to correct it, and mail the return.

 (a) wait until Intuit fixes it <-- the best choice, but there is also (d) guess that the number transmitted is correct even if the number printed is wrong, and try your luck.  I wouldn't take that chance this early in the tax season, but I wonder if IRS is checking this number anyway.  They must have it in their system for 2019 EIC claimants, but not necessarily for people who did not claim EIC last year.
