1040 ESTIMATED TAX FILED WITH 1120-ES FORM - HOW TO FILE FOR REFUND?

Have a client who has an LLC - she paid estimated taxes and filed them with the 1120-ES form instead of 1040-ES.  IRS tells her they can't transfer the funds from the business to the personal section.  How best to file for a refund of the estimated tax payments.

Will give it a try.  IRS agent suggested filing an 1120 and a 1040X taking the business income out of 1040 and putting on 1120....but that doesn't make much sense to me, as that's not where the income should be reported.

File an 1120, marked first and final return, with 0 income and 0 expenses.  Claim the payment, which will eventually be refunded.  Then pay the 1040 tax, if not done already.  Tell her if that's the worst thing that happened to her last year, she's lucky not to be dead.
