With ProSeries Basic, I have found that certain forms (in particular, Schs A, B, and 8814s) do not show up when you go to print or print to PDF. In all years past, these forms have showed up in the print menu and I can choose whether or not I want to print them out or print to PDF. This is obviously a new programming error and needs to be fixed ASAP. I like my clients to see all forms with data entry and this year's program is making that impossible. I spoke with ProSeries customer service yesterday for 2+ hours with no resolution. I have asked for a supervisor to call me back.
Have any of you found this problem with 25? I went back and looked to be sure at 24 and, sure enough, they showed up in the print options and printed out and printed to the PDF file. For example, my client didn't know whether I had filed for their children's AK Permanent Fund Dividend because the 8814s didn't appear in the PDF I sent them. Then I noticed Schs A & B didn't print out either.
Those forms don't affect the tax calculation but my point is I should be able to include all forms with data entry when I print out the tax return or print to PDF.
I can go to the forms and print them out by themselves, but this does not solve my problem when I save to a PDF format as the forms aren't included. I've been with ProSeries for 15 years and this is the first time a major programming error like this has happened.
Is this ProSeries forcing you to now buy Professional instead of Basic? I'm extremely disappointed at the moment that this is happening.
Any ideas, suggestions or input?
