Pending efiled tax return?

Good afternoon Community, 

So, is the IRS flagging preparer's returns? 😉 My personal return has been held up for 12 weeks for some undisclosed reason. Now that the latest round of stimulus payments has gone out, anyone want to take bets on how much longer before someone processes my e-filed return that apparently has some sort of red flag? Sigh. Sure would be nice if there was someone to answer a phone call or email. 

Any insights or encouragement appreciated. 

Melting in the heat wave, and a tax conundrum besides. 🙂

preparer returns get hung up just like anyone else's. May have been randomly selected for ID verification.
