OH LOCAL TAX

Hi, 

I need some help on OH local tax. My client lived in Cuyahoga county and his kids are going to Parma school district (school code 1824).However in his W2 employer with held both parma and Cleveland  local tax, Which form i have to use to get the refund from Cleveland local tax he paid.

Parma is a suburb of cleveland.. two different cities.. 

  • cleveland is a 2.5% city
  • parma is also a 2.5% city but if they live in parma, parma only gives credit up to 2%
  • so the cleveland withheld should be 2.5% of local taxes
  • parma should be .5%
  • if that is how the w-2 looks there is no refund to apply for

hey,. i was born in parma so know this issue well. does your client live in parma.. what specific city do they live in.. the county does not matter. it goes by city
