This morning there was a post on the NYSSCPA forum where someone sent an email to their senator asking if NYS made a decision on taxing the $10,200. Senators response was that it did not make it into the budget and will still be taxable. Has anyone seen any confirmation or announcement on if this is true or not? I had an email from client saying they saw on the news that NYS says it was not taxable. They haven't yet responded where they saw that. I'm hoping we can get some clear guidance now so I can move these all out of my office.
