My client has received a corrected w-2 for 2017. the only adjustments made were to boxes 4 & 6 SS and M/care withholdings. Do I need to amend his return?

Not unless your client has more than one W-2 and will be due a refund for excess OASDI.

Even then, I might suggest waiting for adjustment instead of amending if the refund is not worth the fee.

Or if client was subject to Add'l Medicare tax. But OP said nothing changed so this must not be the case.

When you input the corrected numbers into the return, does anything change?
