Are any other preparers angry and irritated that it appears Proseries will not be updating the 2018 Wisconsin S corp program for the election to be taxed at the entity level? This legislation was passed and announced in January 2019!!! Not only was there no announcement that a business decision was made by Proseries not to support the new forms (even though I asked in March to be placed on an update list), now we need to manually prep and paper file these returns. I pay the same program fees as preparers in CA or NY (which always seem to get updated).

Move across the border to Minnesota. In their divine wisdom, the pinheads in St Paul decide after tax season to retroactively adopt some of the federal law changes. Now Intuit is just going to magically change all of the returns prepared to date for those lovely changes. Looks like I'm back to evaluating which no-tax state I'm moving to. But I will have to do the evaluation in between phone calls from clients wondering why Minnesota sent them a letter saying they are changing their return.
