What do you mean "folder wont open"?

If you open Windows File Explorer can you see the USB drive?  You can't double click the folder on the USB drive and see the client files inside the folder?

Maybe you can copy to the Data Drive and then run HomeBase TuneUp to find and restore that file.  [Or maybe it's DataBase Maint]

My understanding is that a drag and drop copy does not work to create a backup. Maybe these files were not created with copy and that is the problem. I am a Lacertian, so I know not about being a PSer.

I just copy and paste, I do not "Backup" tax files, and it works for me.

Any PPR info in a client file wont transfer if you just copy/paste (but maybe you don't have any PPR returns)
