May I open a Proseries Pro file using ProSeries Basic?

I created a 1040 client using ProSeries Pro since I'm more comfortable with the Pro version. However, I just realized that I need to pay for 1040 and the state form.

May I use the Basic to open the client and e-file there cause I've paid the Basic package to have 1040 and one free state?

Thank you.
Helen

Yes, you should be able to open a file created in Pro, in Basic.

Move the file from the ProWin22/22Data folder to the BasWin22/22Data folder.

Then open Basic, top menu bar  Homebase > Homebase Maintenance and you should see Add Record to Homebase and hit the FIX IT button

Then the file should appear in Homebase.

You may have a problem  if the return done in Pro has a Ca LLC 568 included or a state return that hasnt been installed in Basic, I know I saw someone else mention that a few weeks ago.
