#8829, simplified won't carryover total sq ' to schedule C, so can't file, or even override and file- how to fix?

You have to fill out the Simple Method Smart Worksheet and then scroll down and enter the square footage on lines 1 and 2.  You also need a date in Part II, Line 8 Worksheet, Box A.

They really should streamline this for simplified method folks.  One box at the top where you enter everything.  Then all the extra stuff at the bottom if you're doing a full 8829.  But they don't let me write the software.

$2000+ income, have no idea why this isn't carrying over to the C

You have net profit of 2000 on Line 29 of the Sch C?    

Open the 8829 check the YES box for simplified then scroll down and put the sq ft figures on Lines 1 and 2 and in Part II the date it started being used as a home office (that box will light up pink and be required to be filled in).

it's already there, net profit only under 2K, shows the expense of $550, just not putting the total sq ', had the rest-think it's a program glitch, now to hold for awhile, thanks anyway
