Is the age qualification for the Child and Dependent Care Expense (form 2441) still up to the day of the child's 13th birthday?

I am getting an error on ProSeries when I input expenses for afterschool though the child turned 13 in the later part of the year. Has it changed, or doesn't the child qualify up to the date of his birthday?

It's a screwup in the software.  I believe you can e-file if you override the software and then shutoff error checking when you convert the file for e-filing.

Thanks for the response.

We had submitted inquiries to ProSeries twice and have yet to hear back.

So I took your suggestion and I shut off the error checking and e-filed it.

It's been accepted.
