Sch A instructions state that family leave such as New Jersey and California, are deductible on Sch A.
Massachusetts has family leave payments listed on W-2, but the program does not include this amount on Sch A. Does anyone know if Mass Family Leave payments are deductible on Sch A.

IRS instructions for Schedule A include the following as allowable "State and Local Income Tax" deductions:
"Mandatory contributions to state family leave programs, such as the New Jersey Family Leave Insurance (FLI) program and the California Paid Family Leave program."
My interpretation would be that the Mass. plan would qualify under "such as"
