    Is anyone having trouble once they go back in a return and see it is not totalling something correctly? My client's schedule A shows non-cash and not checks charity.

    Proseries decided to change entry last week on charitable contributions.  You must now enter detail in their smart worksheets for any contribution.  You cannot just enter total on line 11.  They sent out a little yellow alert last week.  I have been using the smart worksheets all along ever since the same thing happened to student loan interest entry a few years ago.

    And you don't have to enter a lot of detail in the smart worksheet.

    I have always used it (never realized the total line was even there)

    All I ever enter for the charity name is Various, with a total for all the contributions on one line.

    same here,  I've always listed charity detail on Smart Worksheet.
