So here is a brain bugger, If you cannot send 8879 to client from Intuit Link, you have to print it out and scan it or save the file and pull it from there and someone sends it back but its signed by print that's obviously not a signature is the acceptable for IRS? I would think not!! So, does anyone happen to know any neat tricks so that I don't have to take the extra 3 steps to send a 8879 besides e-signature?
If I put the signature page up on the link portal I tell them they need to print it, sign and date it and then upload it back to me. I will say usually they print it and just regular email it back to us even thought I say not to.
