I'm trying to enter the EFIN information into the 2018 software & it won't take

I have been e-filing all of my 2020 returns.  I have a current registered EFIN with Intuit.

You mean your ERO/Firm info? Intuit puts it there. Try Tools > License Products and see if by updating your license, the ERO populates
