In the state of NC do one send a copy of the federal return with the state return if mailing through regular mail?

If so, what other info they need? a copy of W2s and/or 1099 and so forth?

A copy of the federal return is not required unless the address on that return is not in NC.  W-2 and 1099 would be required if there are NC withholdings.

I don't do NC and I don't know how many NC folks are going to be checking in today, so you might want to use Google and check out the NC instructions.

I know I saw a setting/checkbox in ProSeries to "print the federal with the state if required".....if you check that box,  if its required, it will print with it

Oh Im using Professional, maybe Basic doesn't have that checkbox.
