Hi,
I have been trying to clear the below diagnostic to efile CA amended return (Form 540, Schedule X) with no success. Does anyone know how to resolve this or is paper-filing the only option?
I have tried to to put a date next to primary signature at the bottom of Form 540, but that didn't resolve it.
Error Detail:
The California Amended return could not be processed electronically. Data in the return is missing or invalid. Please enter the primary's signature date.
Error Resolution:
Please review the reason for the reject. If necessary, make the appropriate change and re-submit this return electronically. However, if the reject continues, you may want to file this return via U.S. Mail. To file your state return, print it and mail to the appropriate taxing authority.

Its the EF PIN date you didnt update it to the current date youre filing the amended return, its still got the original filing date.
Go to the EF Auth Stmt at the bottom of the page and change the date to the current date
