I'm not trying to be snarky, but if you have to ask that question you really should refer the client elsewhere for both their sake and your sake.

No Ironman was too busy trying to be cute.  I could not ask the question the way I wanted to because it did not allow me that much room. It kept telling me to ask a question and include a question mark.  My mistake for being dumb enough to ask to make sure I had done this correctly. Thought we came here to help one another not be insulting.

Partnership returns are reported on Form 1065.   Maybe you have heard of it.  IF the partnership is an LLC, it's STILL reported on Form 1065.

"Thought we came here to help one another not be insulting"

That wasn't insulting, that was the truth.  I have been around here too long to see folks doing things they shouldn't be doing because they don't have the necessary knowledge and/or experience to get the job done.  I am trying to protect you and your client from harm.

By the way, thanks for thinking I'm cute.  Was it the luxurious fur that made you think that?

As a side note, there is enough room to write War and Peace if you simply follow the directions on the webpage.

@barb49.c  if you had taken the time to look at @IRonMaN  profile, you will see that he is credited with over 40,000 helpful votes, and is designated an AllStar in this forum.   Your question, if you took the time to read it before posting it, probably deserved more 'snarkiness' than he posted.

When I first started out here, it would have been a truly snarky answer.  Like I said, I wasn't trying to be snarky but sometimes I just have holler for the life guard when folks are going in over their head without a proper Coast Guard approved inflatable device.

@barb49.c

It isn't snarky to point out that a question like yours indicates you are likely in over your head.

Partnerships are complicated.

If your 1040 client has a SMLLC, ARE you aware of those filing requirement?
