I would like to be transferred to the sporting goods department.  The tax department is just too confusing for me.

@chasetax box 5 on the 1099-R is Contributns/Desig Roth/Insur.  How would the program know it is insurance?  Just enter it on Schedule A.

If I enter in on line 5 and enter it on the line for Insurance on Schedule A it transfers for me.

@Ernie
if amount is entered as indicated, the amount will transfer to the medical expenses worksheet and then to schedule.  i print out medical exp worksheet for filing.  just leaving a bread crumb trail in case of audit!
