How should I file for an 11 year old child who received a 1099-R for $20000.00 code 4, single, claim herself and get standard deduction of $12000.00?

She was adopted by her uncle after her father died and now she receives the 1099_R with taxable $20000.00.

Single. Does her uncle provide more than half her support? Can her uncle claim her as a dependent?

The more I know, the more I don't know.

Why is trying to get enough information to give you an accurate answer not helpful?  If that wasn't helpful you could always go to the IRS website and use some of their flowcharts to get a real helpful answer.

he provides all of her support I am trying to lower her taxes if she can use the standard deduction of 12000.00 if she can't she only gets 1050 as a deduction and dad claims her. he gets child credit.

If he provided all of her support, where did the $20,000 go?

If the uncle is ABLE to claim her as a dependent, she is still stuck with the $1050 Standard Deduction even if he were to choose to not claim her.
