I have a client who was part year resident of NY & GA. I've done an allocation worksheet to separate the NY income from the GA income. All income was received as a NY resident except for 5 months of social security. GA software generates a GA income but it's not right. NY unemployment is entered, but it was all received as a NY resident.

@Dottie Fauci be careful and double check that Georgia return... Last year I had to split one up between Georgia and Pennsylvania... Returns were wired and were both correct... The client who had moved to Georgia got a letter from the Georgia Department of Revenue or some similar State entity... had to respond over what in my opinion was immaterial ... Glad the client got an accountant down there for 2020... good luck.. Just my opinion
