My client lost their job in the hotel industry due to COVID in 2020. For all of 2021, only received unemployment. Single adult with no dependents. Tried to file return and get rejection which says Form 8962 must be attached to return. However, no 1095-A received because he was not employed. No information to enter and cannot force form to file. Any suggestions?

Rejection means they received a Form 1095A and did not provide it to you.
being unemployed has no relation to rejection
I went back through the info worksheet and nothing is checked that isn't every year. Thanks for the shot though. I'm will to try anything. Thanks again.
