Form 1095-A

Client has provided Form 1095-A Health Insurance Marketplace Statement reflecting amounts in Column A (monthly enrollment premiums) and Column B (monthly second lowest cost silver plan premium). I've entered everything and double-checked my input but am getting an error message saying there should be no entry in Column A. Either the entity preparing Form 1095-A did so incorrectly, ProSeries isn't properly handling the data, or I am doing something wrong. Has anybody else come across this issue?

If the numbers in the 1095a columns are all the same, you can enter the totals in the annual spot and it will go thru efile. Don’t use the monthly if that is the case.

there have been problems with the 1095a this season. Don’t know why. It always worked before.

"ProSeries isn't properly handling the data,"

You get a pink error when you start filling in the boxes?  If you just keep moving past that it goes away.

Are they a dependent?  If so, they shouldnt have a 1095A on their return.

I did as you suggested and it worked like a charm. Not the best workaround, the package should handle something like this especially considering it worked in prior years. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, responded to the second message, meant to respond to the first. Entering in totals worked. I had checked off dependent status properly, monthly entries still generated error messages. Thanks for your response.

I also had a problem with the 1095-A and ProSeries error messages. The taxpayer's form didn't have numbers in the 3rd column of Part III. When i input 0s in column 3, ProSeries stopped giving me error messages..
