Anyone have a suggestion on what to do about their farmer clients having to file by March 1st and the schedule J won't be ready until March 2nd?
Other then have them file and pay the tax, then amend..not sure what I can do. Tried to manually prepare the form but that didn't work.......
Does anyone know if this is a software issue or an IRS issue?

Maybe ask on the Lacerte forum if the form is available in their software. If yes, then could you download that software and do the return on a pay-per-return option? Sad that it would even have to be a suggestion instead of the software you purchased having it available.
Otherwise your pay now then amend is probably your only choice.
