My client married during the year. I can not add the spouse to his tax return which shows single.Any help for this would be appreciated

What happens when you try to enter the spouse's information, and what happens when you try to claim "married" instead of "single"?

Change the filing status first then add the spouses information.

finally went back to taxpayer.  he had given me wrong dob for spouse.  did not tie to her other documents.  when I corrected that it was all on GO  thanks
