    EITC and Schedule C

From my understanding and reading IRS documentation, Single Filers who file with only a Schedule C are afforded the Earned Income Credit. I have a client who only cleaned houses. She’s 54 and has $10,500 earnings after deductions and everything but it’s not giving her the EIC. Only the standard half of SE Tax deduction.

Is this a bug? Is there any way for me to force it to trigger the EIC credit?

Review the EITC worksheet, see why its not computing anything.

Does she have an SSN or an ITIN?  If its an ITIN, thats why no EITC is computing.

There are some questions to answer on the Info Worksheet about whether she lived in US, is being claimed as a dependent, etc. Find those.
