Is anyone else getting messages that Federal returns are failing validation upon efiling because the version of ProSeries is not current? I had the automatic update prior to logging on, and have done the "update installed products" inside the program. Also logged off and back on. Still getting the same error message.
There was an update that installed late yesterday for me, maybe you got a bad file?
You could try running REPAIR UPDATES from the Windows programs menu see if that makes any difference. Fair warning, when you repair updates, it dumps all previous updates and downloads afresh set, so it can be time consuming, Id wait until you know you dont need to use the program for a period of time.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to file a couple of other returns and see if I get the same error message, then will do the Repair Updates if those fail as well.
UPDATE: After the 3rd time of logging off / logging back on, the program re-installed the update that ran earlier in the day. Return was filed and accepted successfully after that. Thanks for the suggestions!
