Can you do the critical update (Aug. 17) through the regular update process in Proseries? How can you tell you have the required update installed?  I went to the program menu and clicked update per the instructions and it looked like the same as from within the program.  When I updated Basic, it asked if I wanted to transfer last years clients, well no, since I have already filed most of them.  In Proseriesand Basic both, the right side "Community" bar disappeared.  Sorry, just confused; want to make sure I am updated.

The community link removal is something that was updated but not directly related to the Security update referenced in some communications.  You can confirm your version by going to HELP and ABOUT PS and checking out your version and comparing it against the information we have in the Security update article, you must be on the version listed or higher.

Here is information about the removal of the community link: https://accountants-community.intuit.com/announcements/1743956

Here is the information (including version) for the security update: https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1736700-important-security-update-for-proseries

Well, I did check your link for the version, but the only information there was how to determine which version you have (which I knew).  I just checked my current versions and both Basic and Pro are now Ver. wPro.2017.19.00.14.  I still do not know if this includes the critical update.  Sure somewhere they have posted what version you are supposed to wind up with.

Yes so under the dark screenshot that shows the update folder there is an "IMPORTANT" section then a "NOTE" section, then directly under that states the versions for the different years, and for 2017 you must have version later than 2017.16.00.10 and since you're on 2017.19.00.14 you are good to go!:smile:

Thank you, I saw that but I think it was just an example of how to determine your version.  At any rate, I will assume you are correct. 🙂
