I have a client considering a sale of 100% of his S corporation stock. A portion of sale proceeds would be paid to him in current year, with the balance paid over several years.
I read that stock reported on an exchange can't be reported as an installment sale, but could not find that Capital stock was excluded. I just wanted to be sure. Thanks to all.
